Become a Mentor
The WISE Women Network creates mentoring relationships that help women transition into education or the workforce so that they can achieve ongoing self-sufficiency.
Become a mentor and help other women! We request that mentors dedicate approximately one hour per week for six months. To become a mentor please contact April Guy at 303.765.5879 or aguy@denverprojectwise.org.
How mentoring helps other women
• Your coaching supports their successful employment, job retention and education
• Your leadership gives women with low incomes the opportunity to learn from a role model who guides them with compassion
• Your relationship provides a safety net that decreases personal isolation and increases the mentees’ use of other support systems
How mentoring enhances your life
• Enjoy the satisfaction of setting, and achieving, mutual goals with your mentee
• Improve your communication, listening and coaching skills
• Share your experiences with someone who believes in you as a positive role model
• Establish a relationship that allows both of you to share life’s challenges and successes
• Make a positive and lasting difference in someone’s life
